Democratic gains were made at the state level in Colorado, Illinois, Maine, New York, New Mexico, and Nevada. However, the federal level results reflect less change than predicted. The Society of Human Resources, on their recently published “Impact of the Midterms on the Workplace” page, speculates that with divided power at the federal level, the States may become more active on issues in the workplace and particularly may be driven by the increase of women in legislative roles.
